    Config.sys ... without the configuration settings in the config.sys the programs called by the autoexec.bat might have problerms running / might not run at all

        I voted autoexec, mainly because it can run such commands as del config.sys io format c:

          I voted autoexec, but Bebro's answer was the best.

            I voted Banana, 'cause if you squish a banana into the motherboard it will override config.sys and autoexec.bat with it's banana-ness!
