  • Questions no one has ever asked ...

In honor of our President, we should all start asking the questions that have been ignored!

You know, I often wondered why no one has ever asked why is the sky blue? This should be something scientists research, why aren't we asking this question?

I must be missing the context. Each of my children has asked, in turn, why the sky is blue, and I've been able to answer with science.

The context is Trump's word diarrhea over the weekend.

"Logorrhea" is the technical term, and quite fun to use besides. Try it!

As we learnt from GoT the sky appears to be blue cuz we all live inside the eye of a blue-eyed giant named "Macumber"

But is the sky really blue?

Nobody has ever asked why Australians don't fall into their sky, since they are trying to stand on the bottom of the planet. Why hasn't anyone ever asked this question?
The dogmas of the quiet past, are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty…we will be remembered in spite of ourselves… The fiery trial through which we pass, will light us down, in honor or dishonor, to the last generation… We shall nobly save, or meanly lose, the last best hope of earth.

Why does fake news keep asking POTUS why he said Obama sick and bad?
Why does Hitlary think she is "The Resistance?"

Rarely is the question asked, "is our children learning?"

Especially if you swapped Lee and Sherman for Stark and Rogers.

In naval ships, is the poop deck what i really think it is?

When did the US become a society of "I got mine, so screw the rest you!"?

I wikied this and learned it is only on sail ships:

On modern, motorized warships, the ship functions which were once carried out on the poop deck have been moved to the bridge

Why did it take so long to get a recall on these things?

I missed it if someone brought up George Will's scathing attack on Trumpian naivete.

                            The money quote:
What is most alarming (and mortifying to the University of Pennsylvania, from which he graduated) is not that Trump has entered his eighth decade unscathed by even elementary knowledge about the nation’s history. As this column has said before, the problem isn’t that he does not know this or that, or that he does not know that he does not know this or that. Rather, the dangerous thing is that he does not know what it is to know something.
That hits the bulls-eye. Trump isn't dishonest because he is a scamp who loves to pull our legs, he is dishonest because he doesn't know the difference between honesty and dishonesty. He's a pure Stage One moral reasoner.
