Hmmmm. They prevented anything harmful from contaminating the water but they didn't prevent the water from turning pink. I'm sure Canadians have nothing to worry about.

This could be an International Womans Day thing.

This could be related to the stereotype that blue is for boys and pink is for girls.

Yes, it could be that radical Canadian feminists became fed up with all the water being boyish blue and changed to a girly pink.
