Also, don't get me wrong, AAHZ is getting up there in age as well (I have arthritis for goodness sake!)

To the extent America has been great, it's been in that we were progressing ... generally ahead of the rest of the world (with some exceptions) ... in regards to freedom and opportunity. We started to lose that lead after WWII, and while we have progressed in some areas since then (Civil Rights, Women's Rights, LGBT Rights) we've also fallen behind several other nations in many metrics.
Going back to any previous date (except maybe a couple months ago) would be regressive in most regards. The only way to become great again is to become the champion of freedom and opportunity again.Comment
