They regularly send me "special offers" to buy stuff - after I bought exactly that. Who wouldn't like to have the same books, games or whatnot in higher numbers?!? Might even open an online store once you got enough of everything....

The problem is that you can go in and remove the item from the list that they use to select ads for you but it means you have to do something which most don't bother. They would probably be more effective if they let you go in and Ad items instead of just shotgunning you with anything that you've looked at or already bought.It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit.
