I could see serious complications arising from ignored posters being invisible. Suppose I post something about police violence, BK posts something about police violence being caused by black people "dressing slutty," and Ken replies to BK with something along the lines of "why don't you go bury your head in a bucket of human feces?" If I don't see BK's post at all, I think Ken has just reacted to something relatively innocuous with extreme hostility. We may have to adapt forum etiquette to avoid this unfortunate situation, preferably without involving quotes which are once again visible.

wow - looks very different.“It is no use trying to 'see through' first principles. If you see through everything, then everything is transparent. But a wholly transparent world is an invisible world. To 'see through' all things is the same as not to see.”

This is actually my 3rd or 4th DL. You can tell by my user number being 47775 and yours being 18472, even though I registered 2 years BEFORE you. All my accounts were merged into this one, my join date properly corrected, but I still lost countless poasts from one of my accounts when the Civ 2 ToT and General forums were lost over 10 years ago.
Also I was inactive for about 5 years when I was basically a homeless, unmediated, schizophrenic drug fiend. I got better.
So don't feel bad.The Wizard of AAHZ

kentonio I did post that new year threads would not be transferred over. (This is because the upgrade was a horribly long process. Rather than take the site down for days and having us all released on the real world ... I decided on having 99.9999% of the content make the transfer with virtually no delay. The other few threads got wiped out in the rubber band effect.

That must be why there's been no immigration to Apolyton under my watch
Large Avatars: Ahead of schedule and under budget! (and probably with huge unintended consequences somewhere ... let me know if you spot any funky avatar issues)
