    Something that's not immediately evident is that China has very, very few roads and railroads crossing its borders. Almost all of its international trade is conducted by sea. It is at least as dependent on merchant shipping as Imperial Japan was in World War II.
    I think that would be a pretty good call if the war was a hot war and became extended. In the short term, it would be interesting to see the navy's anser to the Chinese anti-ship ballistic missles.
