  • First Russian Installed President of the USA

Since Poly is on the verge of being kaputt, and we do not already have a more sensible thread dedicated to Putin installing 45th president of the United States directly, here it is.

How do Americans feel about it? Do you feel like Iranians when Americans installed the Shah? Is there a revolution coming to remove oppressive Russian puppet President Trump and resurrect "We came, we saw, he died" Hillary Clinton? Is this whole issue fake news? Will CIA or FBI win ?

So many questions, so little time until 19th of Dec.

*as a side note Russians are already well under way to decide who will be the next German prime minister - Putin's power is really a lot more like Ming's than I ever expected. There is no way to stop him, whoever wins German elections, it will be Putin's choice. I suggest Germans relax and don't bother voting, as it makes no difference anyhow. Vlad's will will be done.

** I feel the entertainment level getting so high that there is a serious threat that we will soon evaporate in the smoke of thermonuclear blast. Everything for entertainment.

Regardless of whether the Russians helped Trump wins it doesn't change the fact that 46% of the voters were dumb enough to vote for him.

Wouldn't it be fair that since the US installed a dozen or more foreign governments over the years, Democrats chill out and let Russians install one in the US?

Not to mention that the Russians are so kind that they did not kill anyone in the process, why not let them get away with it?

More voted not clinton than those that did. Just for the record. But still dumb

I don't think Putin had much to do with it. To the extent the hacks, if they were Putin's doing, were able to influence the election it was due to corruption and a ****ty fake choice being offered. To tip things from one awful choice to another awful choice. Fake news (which are generally run by capitalist douchebags) has more to do with it. The general populations' inability to vote (or think) outside party lines feeds into it.

I'm not even sure Putin wants Trump. I certainly wouldn't want him if I was in Putin's shoes. Trump is a wildcard. He's completely, unabashedly dishonest. You can't reasonably plan around what his response will be in an important situation. (You can plan on him being overly reactive in some way though.) Any interaction becomes a coin flip. Putin is a planner. Trump potentially destroys any plan.

I guess it would also be "fair" for Martians to wipe out most of the American population, bring Martian civilization to the wilderness, and put the remaining Americans in reservations in deserts and tundra. It wouldn't bode well for humanity, however.

Well, if Americans had two presidential choices, and Martian hypnotoad ensured one wins over the other, without loss of life - it would still compare favourably to general US interventions around the world over last 50 years or so.

Also, I do not think anyone is expecting a Russian invasion, elimination of 90%+ of natives, and placing them into desert reservations.

On a more serious note, is it not interesting that a candidate and/or external agitator is being attacked in the current scenario, and not the electoral system which gives the population a two people choice, bought by billions?

*I would be shocked that Trump would not be claiming the same if Hillary won instead, so the current impasse was sort of inevitable.

There is a lot of blowback against the EC, but mostly just because of partisanship.

According to Nate Silver it was the FBI reopening the investigation which really made the numbers mobe against her and not the leaked emails. The leaked emails showing such scorn for regular people surely didn't help but it is a fantasy to say the election was rigged or the Putin installed Trump. That is just democrats making excuses for their piss poor anpinted candidate belly flopping when it should have been a slam dunk. If the DNC hadn't rigged the nomination for Hillary against Sanders then we would currently have a President Elect Sanders.
