While I agree 100% with your premise, in all fairness, Kid didn't start this particular thread.

This has so many good points, I feel the urge the intervene:
So, say Russian affiliated groups hacked the emails. 1) they probably got president's emails as well. Might be useful later, 2) most likely a message (we know all you know, don't push), 3) let's throw this bit out and see what happens as a social experiment.
and fourthly, this is exactly what information warfare is about. You divide groups, make them argue, make all sides lose their trust to the government, flourish conspiracy theories, attack those who actually do know and investigate, and watch the thing weaken slowly but surely. It is a very economic thing to do, costs practically nothing and you get to choose the seeds you support to get the result you want. Just confuse the crap out of everyone. Nothing is worse than confusion. Who done it is a sexy question and people cannot stop arguing about it. But what does it matter? It was done.
Is Russia "going to pay"? of course not. And even if it was someone else, so what? Russia will take the blame anyway, and in this twisted show, they are supported by the neocons. To be more Machiavellian about it, who benefits? Who benefits from declining West? Europe is falling apart from the inside out, US is not yet at that stage but is having some really interesting social developments. No need for traditional weapons. Not a single shot fired.
I have to marvel. The show is good. The outcome is unknown, hopefully it's good, but I doubt it.
Also Tucker had one (but no more) good point; How do you know if the emails were real and not written by someone else? You can't. All the emails could be fake. I imagine a group of creative hackers making this story, including pizzagate, with a good story writer. Laughing their butts off.In da butt.

BTW, Tucker Carlson is a pathetic partisan hack, and isn't even very good at it. This video is ample evidence of that.

Tucker is a douchebag and was throwing up strawmen in the OP video. You and Kid picked up on one of the strawmen. The letter to the administration was not an instance of "shoot the messenger" ... it was a bipartisan letter from the Intelligence Committee.
