Another bleak consequence of the Brexit vote.

Britain faces another bleak consequence of its vote to leave the EU: smaller chocolate bars.

On Tuesday, snack-maker Mondelez International MDLZ 4.05% said it will cut the size of its distinctive Toblerone bars in the U.K., to reflect the fact that the pound doesn’t buy as much Swiss chocolate as it did before June 23.

The most common 170-gram (7-ounce) bar will shrink to 150g, while the more indulgent 400g bar will shrink to 360g. The length of the bar will stay the same, but there will be a bigger space between each chunky chocolate triangle.

Mondelez said in a Facebook post that “like many other companies, we are experiencing higher costs for numerous ingredients. We carry these costs for as long as possible, but to ensure Toblerone remains on-shelf, is affordable and retains the triangular shape, we have had to reduce the weight of just two of our bars in the U.K., from the wider range of available Toblerone products.”

The incident is the latest in a pattern of price rises since the Brexit vote, reflecting the decline in sterling...

Well, Western press was so biased against Trump, and everyone said he's Russian... Putin's... whatever. And all these cries of anguish... Damn, it was hard to resist LOL

Hey, the company I work for makes some big bucks on the polls, so you can bet we'll be trying to figure out what went wrong.
There was no bias or fix in, they were just wrong. The methodology was pretty standard, but you can't force people to tell you the truth.
And if they lie, it kind of breaks any model.

Not really.

Just compare Trump's speeches and Vladimir Zhirinovsky speeches. I wouldn't call them exactly the same, Vladimir Zhirinovsky is more extreme (but then again, he has no chances to be elected so he can give a more over-the-top speeches so to be liked by his target audience more), but he's effectively what Trump is for USA. And he uses the same tactics to be popular.
