  • Undecated and ignorant

It seems that a common argument these days is that any one who disagrees must be "uneducated and ignorant".

As just one example, the remainers seem to be dismissing those who voted for Brexit as obviously "uneducated and ignorant".

Your thoughts on the standards of public discourse?

BTW Anybody who disagrees with anything I say is obviously "uneducated and ignorant".

    Yikes!

Just noticed I must be too "uneducated and ignorant" to spell uneducated correctly in the thrade title.

The brits need to get the **** out of the EU now because they still hold positions of power (attributed respectively by size of country) and they are turkophiles.

Well, the Pro-Brexit campaign was a populist campaign aimed at emotions and not so much on facts. The Brexiters interviewed before and after the Poll certainly portrayed a certain naivety which shaped the international picture.

There were and are valid reasons for Brexiting and I accept those but lets face the facts:
Voters with postgraduate qualifications split 75 to 25 in favour of remain. Meanwhile, among those who left school without any qualifications, the vote was almost exactly reversed: 73 to 27 for leave
so the 'uneducated' accusation seems to have some merit.

That's the fault of the educated ones for only caring for themselves

Are they? Last I heard they just voted to leave the EU because they don't like foreigners and brown people, I'm not sure why the Turks would get a free pass.

The "uneducated" generally have lower paid jobs and it may be their perceptions of EU impacts on the availability of low paid work that drive their votes rather than their "education". Peraps heir votes are driven by their views on their employment prospects rather than their education. And, of course, education level does limit the available job opportunities.

I'm not at all sure about this. I am not debating your point, merely raising a possibility.

AAHZ could poast an "A List" music video to further increase his "exposure" and "reputation."
