So, my dear brainwashed New-Yorkers, it seems that's your roads a piece of sh!t, not ours.

And you don't even know what a free Wi-Fi at taxi is!

    Barbarians!

But, you are so brainwashed, that you will keep barking and wetdreaming about Russia being in tatters, no matter what (instead of just visit here and see everything with your own eyes).

      Yeah... some nice pics.
And I don't think anybody has ever claimed that Moscow isn't a world class city (well maybe one person )

But I will warn you as well. Let's stop with the broad sweeping insults.
You want to discuss how great Russia is... Fine... but your continued "everybody in the West is stupid" crap will stop.

I have no idea why I should care what condition Moscow is in--I've never had any plans to go there--but for the record, NYC had a general air of crappy dirtiness all the times I've visited, the last time being almost ten years ago. Then again, so did Lima, and I loved Lima anyway. I think that might just be a big city thing. Lots of concrete, lots of congestion and heavy load on infrastructure. If Moscow has escaped this curse, good for Moscow, I guess.

        Did not read article.

And even better comments for the article - the personal experience of other Western eyewitnesses.
And a nice video from the comments too:

May I reply with quote from the article?

"An economy in tatters? It’s true that Moscow doesn’t represent all of Russia, but neither does New York represent all of the United States. I grew up reading inaccurate over-the-top Soviet propaganda about the United States. Now I wonder about American propaganda regarding Russia. Maybe America’s big city transportation authorities should take a trip to Moscow and text photos from Wi-Fi enabled taxis back to their co-workers about how a rough-winter-city maintains their excellent infrastructure. And maybe we Americans should start challenging our leaders’ constant drumbeat of erroneous and negative views of Russia".

The nice thing about dirt roads is that you don't have to repave them.

Taxis are losing business here in the US because of something called Uber. And a lot of vehicles operated by these other companies do have WiFi. By the way, roads might have some issues here, but in LA for example they have been redoing a lot of them.

At any rate, taxis are a thing of the past here in the US.

Yes, let's stop with this the US is crap argument. Its getting tiring.

I am not going to get into an argument about Russia again either.

Uhhh... maybe you should have actually looked at the link... The journalist talks about how he used the free airport wifi to get his Uber ride.
They do have Uber in Russia

I am not saying they don't.

Uber tested out WiFi in a few cities here in the US a few years ago. And that progressed fine.

Anyways, our freeways need work here in California, but they seem to be in the process of redoing those too. Heavy economic activity leads to degraded roads that need more maintenance.

So... How safe are Russian roads with regards to drivers? I hear about many intersections not having traffic lights or even stop signs.
