US has been sabre rattling vs Russia for a few years now, and these days you have articles like this on CNN. UK defence secretary casually mentions that they will be ready for war with Russia in two years, among other things.

Being ready for war is actually the job of the military - in the end. It's the job of politics to make sure things do not go that far.

You might see such a statement as sabre rattling, but "readiness" does not equal "intent".

There was no need for "reassurance" as any actual war with Russia still leads to MAD, there is actually not need today either, but it's only my opinion - theirs is obviously different.

Not sure what that means in regard to the likelyhood of WW3, but after reconsidering everything I basically agree now that WW3 starts in 2 years because the cnn thingy said it could be, and the UK is ready by then
