One day I'll upgrade from a 300 dollar laptop to a true gaming rig. But Civ is not enough to justify such a purchase, although I do want to play the new Master of Orion and Gal Civ.

Moastly I use my Xbox One for gaming.

At the moment I am playing NBA 2K17 (incredibly difficult on Superstar) and Fallout 4. I am waiting for the re-release of Skyrim on the 28th.

I have beaten Deus Ex Mankind Divided and Witcher 3. I played but nevar finished Grand Theft Auto V and I probably wont with my new mindset against bullying that transcends into games as well. Also i think it's a little boring.

I am also anxiously awaiting the new Mass Effect next year.

so far so good. there's a surprising amount of minutae to look after.

I mean, 1upt is still a thing, but districts are hella cool. there's lots of opportunities for long-term planning and min/maxing

What interests me most is . . . hmm. To what extent does it feel "true to reality"? I guess that's subjective, since people are bugged by different things, but how much of it actually simulates real-world challenges of a growing society, and how much is only vaguely history flavored? The immersion is the thing for me. Which, I realize, makes me an outlier.
