- Wikileaks releases a bunch of embarrassing DNC emails, clearly timed to cause maximum damage at the Democratic convention.
- Wikileaks, and Julian Assange specifically, have no love for the US and have been known to work with Russia before (getting Snowden there for asylum, for instance)
- Despite their claims to be a lone hacker, most of the security community believes Guccifer 2.0 (the source of the emails) is a Russian state actor.
- In the run up to the convention Trump's campaign went out of their way to remove language supporting Ukraine against Russia from the GOP platform, against the wishes of almost all the other Republican leadership.
- Trump and Putin have a public mutual admiration society going.
- Trump has made noises about backing out of NATO obligations.
- Trump is rumored to have had ties to the mafia because it was unavoidable in NYC real estate in the 80's and has been (very tenuously) linked to the Russian mob as well.
Has Trump cut an artful deal with Russian intelligence to trade eastern Europe for help winning the election? Was Herr Drumpf's real name Ribbentrop in the old country? Or has Russia decided that Trump's isolationist rhetoric will suit their goals and thrown their support behind his election without his knowledge or consent?
Most importantly, will zombie Reagan rise from the grave to prevent a deranged shadow of his Republican party from undoing his victory-by-attrition over the Soviets and voting in the rebirth of the eastern bloc?
