It's not exactly dinner but for lunch I popped into a British restaurant where I had a wonderful steak & kidney pie with mash and that bright green parsley butter gravy. Tasty. I asked the owner if they carried jellied eels and he said they did about 20 years ago but dropped them due to insufficient demand.

I think the parsley sauce would go better with a cod or other fish dish, rather than steak pie.
