I really dislike Hillary, all Republicans (even Republicans that would have gotten a 'sane' consideration in previous years fail due to their colleagues today), and do not think that Bernie is electable in the general.

Not sure how O'Malley gets out of 1%.

      Why?

Unless Hillary drops out, he doesn't. He has candidates to his left and right and there just isn't enough room in between to build a following.

He is literally in the two bottom groups as far as electability goes:
More than nine in 10 Americans say they would vote for a qualified presidential candidate who is Catholic, a woman, black, Hispanic or Jewish. Less than half of Americans would vote for a candidate who is a socialist.

It might be that among serious democrats that he might get the majority, but among republicans he would get near 0% and he would lose a large majority of independents too.

I think that, regardless of who's nominated for the Dems, a lot will hinge on who can bring the most groupies to the table; lots of neutral, moderate, and undecided voters are likely to be almost equally disgusted by both choices and simply stay home. And if it comes to that, I don't think there's any denying that Trump has the single largest clump of fanatics on his side.

This damn election, who knows? But I suspect he'll just do what independents always do, and split votes. A quick perusal of his stances on Wiki (yeah, I don't usually follow politics that close) suggests he won't be peeling much away from Trump. He sounds like he could take a bit away from Hillary though, assuming he doesn't become "that ****ing soda-ban guy" (even I'd heard of that).

Not the case in reality. Check out his head to head match ups against the GOP likely nominees. He's actually also picking up excellent numbers amongst Independents and even Republicans when compared to Hillary. Increasing numbers appear ok with ignoring the differences on social issues because they share his platform on income inequality. Which actually does make sense when you think about the longtime conundrum of why working class whites would support a Republican Party that largely acts against their own interests.

He won't run if it's Hillary, he's floating it in case Bernie wins.

That's a false conundrum. Working class whites WORK, therefore have not need for welfare.

Well, no Trumpie is going to vote for a man who wants to take his giant Pepsi away, so bad luck for Bernie. Though Bernie would have better luck appealing to them than Hillary, Trumpism being largely an economic phenomenon. But he'd still be an atheist and a socialist, and despite appearances those really are both four-letter words over here.

I think Bernie would get support from people who come out to vote against Trump, just like any R would get support from people who come out to vote against Hillary, or even Bernie, although Bernie isn't hated that much right now. But if Hillary were to drop out we would start to see hatred turn against Bernie because he's a socialist.

Some americans are waking up to the fact that they have a rich country but no welfare, no health insurance.
And that for some mysterious reason they drop dead like flies from gun violence and that racism is a real consistent problem.

Bernie comes along and says: I will save you from the schackles of such slavery but you have to believe....

                          Will they believe?
                          Hard to say

Leftists don't end racism or decrease it. You have more racists in Europe than we have in the US.

That's because of the right wing and its incapacity to deal with the real problems.
It is a dying breed due to its own dysfunctionality and erroneous moral compass

No. The right wing is a function of the left wing. You are all extremists. One extremist makes another extremist on the other side.
