I think Pchang was saying Trump "could be worse" by being President Trump instead of just insufferable hateful lout candidate Trump. Which is true. But I think the real damage has already been done, in that he has recognized and awakened America's large, ignorant nativist bloc--which previously slept rather uneasily under the feet of the GOP mainstream. I don't think we're going to put them back to sleep, uneasy or not. Trump will almost certainly lose, but they have no particular reason to accept defeat when he does. They already feel they've been screwed by the existing order, and have shown no desire whatever to appear respectable or decent. God only knows what they'll do when the electoral process lets them down. My guess is lots of "patriot militias" marching around, and the occasional mosque explosion or mass shooting.
