MLK compared himself to Moses, the Joshua generation is the generation after MLK.

Do you know what Joshua did? Do you know why they talk about the Joshua Generation?

Here's part of Obama's "Joshua Generation" speech.

Seems like he got the concept of the Joshua Generation from his Black Liberation Church but he was just using it for political rhetoric.

What does that speech have to do with Islam?

He uses the same terminology as Farrakhan. Only Liberation Theologians use that language.

Malcolm X wasn't even mentioned in the link.

edit: oh, you answered the posts in reverse order. Malcolm X was a civil-right activist, his ideas about race relations weren't uniquely Muslim.

All of the terminology appears to be based on things in the Bible. I don't see what Farrakhan has to do with it.

What else were they? He hated Christianity, and called it the White Man's religion.

If you would have listened to more of the video, you would have heard of Farrakhan use the terms "Joshua Generation." Now the interesting thing is that Joshua is not in the Koran.

Wouldn't that mean Farrakhan is Christian-influenced? How is Islam responsible for something that's not even in the Koran?

I'm pretty sure Reverend Wright doesn't hate Christianity
