To be fair suicide even in the context of a holy war during the middle ages was always viewed by the church as a mortal sin. That is probably one reason you do not see Christian suicide bombers.

Everyone in the world other than a tiny percentage of true pacifists would agree war is sometimes necissary. Muslims really do stand out for having such large percentages saying terrorism and attacks on unbelievers simply because of their religion are justified (at least sometimes).

I do not support any religion but that does not mean I think all religions are the same. Some really are worse than others when it comes to justifying or calling for violence in their holy book. True, we are only talking about a small percentage who take it literally but at 1.5 billion muslims in the world a relatively small percentage adds up to 200 million people. That is indeed a problem and one not easily dealt with because it is hard to identify and seporate those 200 million from the other 1.3 billion.

how is it worse to believe that suicide bombs are justified than believing that bombing libya or invading iraq is justified? and i suspect that considerably more people in the west support the latter than muslims support the former.
