For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

Trump is not a serious candidate and cannot possibly win due to his buffoonish ways. That said, he does bring up issues which both parties are afraid to talk about and that is why he gets the traction he does. If the two parties would start dealing with immigration reform in a responsible way then much of the space Trump is occupying would simply be gone.
The same issues are also coming up in much of Europe thus the rise of the far right. If the main stream parties were more responsive to the desires of voters this would not be happening.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.

most of the people looking to the far-right in europe are, like a lot of trump's supporters, those unhappy with their lot in the current political and economic context and credulous enough to believe it when someone says 'look over there, it's the jews/blacks/muslims who are the source of your woes'; then of course there are those just don't like people with darker skin or a different god. the best way of dealing with idiots and bigot isn't to surrender to their prejudices."The Christian way has not been tried and found wanting, it has been found to be hard and left untried" - GK Chesterton.

Rubio, Hillary, and Sanders certainly are while Jeb Bush desperately wants to be one. Trump just wants to be in the headlines which is why he throws a bomb to the media every time his poll numbers dip (as they recently did in Iowa). That gets him back in the headlines but that isn't the actions of a serious contender for President.
As I said, the only reason he is getting traction is because the other candidates left room for him by avoiding certain issues. If the two parties would do things like immigration reform (making our laws look more like Canada's or Australia's) then what issue can he grandstand on? He would just fade out of the headlines.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.
