I read somewhere or another that there's a hypothesis that humor is an evolutionary response dealing with incongruity. Like imagine you're a hamster and you see Donald Trump, you'd be like "oh **** it's Donald Trump" and you'd run away or maybe instead you'd bite him. However in order to develop stable societies (hahahahahahah) humans had to develop a way to deal with incongruity besides running away from or biting the source of the ****upedness because we're experts at manufacturing inconsistencies and absurdities, hence humor, which gives us the ability to say "oh **** it's Donald Trump, look at his hair ahahahahahaa oh god he's going to kill us all"
