One of the last versions (1982 model) of the NAMCO Pony-Citroën, and one of the few that were sold in the U.S.

To be fair, VWs are excellent cars.

Being offered for sale and being commercially successful are two different things. No wonder the Greek economy sucks if you can't understand that.

That may come as a surprise to you, but you don't seem to understand basic humour so no surprise you struggle with reality too

The interesting thing is that usually when something like this hits the fan the company will pull all it's advertising figuring it's a waste.
It usually takes a few days.
I haven't seen this with them. I saw a handful of ads for them last night.

All set to happen with the gigafactory opening next year and a new model coming out. Sales volume will go up while cost per unit will go down. There are two more new models already in the pipeline (the mid priced sedan and the new roadster) so they will finally have a full line up along with economies of scale. The company will also be manufacturing hybrid models for Toyota and Mercedes. All in all not bad for a young company selling new technology.

In a month or so I bet there will be some amazing deals on VWs out of dealers.

It would appear there is a loophole in the US emission laws that exempt carmakers from criminal prosecutions. Hmmm.....

I think the smugness only applies to people driving a diesel coupe or sedan. If you're driving a diesel truck, you're either rolling coal or wish you were.

I just don't like diesels because they're loud.

The Guardian has found that VW has a little bit of company because Mercedes-Benz, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Renault, Nissan, Hyundai, Citroen, Fiat, Volvo and Jeep all have diesel vehicles that release NOx than previously thought.

Mercedes-Benz, Honda, Mazda and Mitsubishi’s cars are shown to emit significantly more NOx pollution on the road than in regulatory tests
