Exiting the room, I see the first stranger seemingly standing guard in the hallway. I push my journal and pen into my handbag and notice there is another text message from my husband.

Babe, be careful! I have heard that there is a Mr. Ming who is known for making people disappear! Get away NOW!!!
Looking back down the hallway, I see that it is empty now. 'Jesus, I really need a drink. '

I hurry on out to the patron area and find my favorite barstool.

After a couple of drinks and a call to my husband to assure him I am fine. I look around attempting to locate Jsorense. 'He definitely knows more than he has been letting on!' the bartender called, MikeH., just shrugged in regards to my query on whether he had seen Jsorense.

I kept glancing at the back door, but as of yet, no one has exited. Was there a back door?

Walking out of the broom closet jsorense stuffs his phone into a pocket. "Ah, at last!" he says as he recognizes the tall woman with long dark hair at the bar. There, too, was MikeH in an attitude that could only be interpreted as trying to glance down Mrs. Civ's blouse. jsorense seemed to skip to the bar. "What will it be, er, what are you drinking Mrs. Civ? Sparky, be a good fellow and pour us a round and, this time, put it on Mr. Civ's tab."
In the dark smoky light of the bar jsorense could not decide if Mrs. Civ looked more like Cleopatra or the bust of Nefertiti, the one in the Berlin Museum. The clink of glasses brought jsorense down to earth. Was now the time to spill his guts or should he wait. He could always procrastinate and put some change into the jukebox. Ah, yes, let's listen to "Shine On You Crazy Diamond."

At about this moment in the proceedings, NICE MOBIUS sauntered in looking shifty, as if he was conjuring up some nefarious plan:

"A pint of your finest absinthe please, barkeep"

He uttered, before sidling off to a booth to drink it, all the while keeping a watchful gaze on the rest of the pub...

Jsorense had a certain quality about him that seemed to put me in a state of relaxation or perhaps, it was only the drinks kicking in. My husband had informed me that he had received a worried call from Jsorense, so he could not have been the spy I thought he was? Who was he really though? He certainly seemed only slightly interested in what I knew and more interested in what Ming had to say to me. 'There has to be some connection.'

I rub my eyes, realizing how late or should I say early it is. I have been trying to piece this all together and it is just a jumble of confused facts now. Glancing, around the near empty room, I only spot a couple of individuals still in the room. One I recognized as seeing here before, and the other, seemed to be watching him. 'sheesh, I have no idea when Jsorense took his leave. I hope I did not bore him terribly much.'

Yawning and stretching, I take my leave. Nothing more to do, until I get some more research done. I might as well, get a few more hours sleep in at least.

As Mrs . Civ swishes out the door her exit is intently observed by NICE MÖBIUS. He sits in his corner not unlike Jabba the Hut. A broad smirk covers his face as he returns his attention to the half empty pint glass of blue green liquid that seems to glow in the dim light. What nefarious thoughts lurk behind that mask of self satisfaction?

I stumble into the door, exhausted. I am thankful that the corner booth is empty. I quickly move there and slide the two shoulder bags off. 'my God, what a day' I sigh in relief. I really need a drink even though I haven't eaten or slept much. Looking at all of the information, I was accumulating, I felt overwhelmed!

"what can we get for you tonight, Mrs. Civ?" The chipper tones of this staff person, seemed almost annoying. I just stared at him, blankly, and couldn't respond!

Shaking my head, as if I could reorganize the chaos within, I found my voice. "Yes, and a #2 special for dinner too!"

He didn't seem as chipper when he turned away. 'Sheesh, I can't worry about what others may think of me, not now!'

I gulp down my drink and holding my glass in the air, indicated I needed another one. Everyone seems to be getting interested in me and sending my research around the world. 'It is exhausting, yet...my curiousity is peaked.'
Pulling my journal out, I decide to try and review my recent notes. Elok, a Peruvian Professor in antiquities, had contacted me via phone today. He explained he had just had an encounter with Ming and thus, learned about my research. I was naturally suspicious but since I don't believe in coincidences, I met with him earlier today.

Paul Kosok discovered Caral in 1948, but it received little attention at the time because it appeared to lack many typical artifacts that were sought at archeological sites throughout the Andes at the time. Archaeologist Ruth Shadyfurther explored the 4,000 to 4,600 year-old city of pyramids in the Peruvian desert, with its elaborate complex of temples, an amphitheater and ordinary houses. The urban complex is spread out over 150 acres and contains plazas and residential buildings. Caral was a thriving metropolis at roughly the same time that Egypt's great pyramids were being built.

Caral is the largest recorded site in the Andean region with dates older than 2000 BCE and appears to be the model for the urban design adopted by Andean civilizations that rose and fell over the span of four
millennia. It is believed that Caral may answer questions about the origins of Andean civilizations and the development of the first cities.

Elok, originally believed that the Egyptians during the era of Imotehep had traveled to the shores of Peru. The step pyramids were too similar, but then, Ming had provided information that Ancient China may be responsible for the ancient egyptian civilization too!

'My goodness! Everyone seems to think I have the answer or clue to their own lifetime's research!' I rub my throbbing forehead in confusion. Obviously, I am clearly missing the connections others are assuming.'

Sitting alone in his private office, also known as the pub's broom closet, jsorense studies the map copy with a ridiculously large magnifying glass. This was no ordinary xerox. jsorense had a few contacts at The University and had Mrs. Civ's map, while briefly in his possession, thoroughly tested and rematerialized with a 3-D printer with dark matter ink. The wazit-nano-floromagnotometer created an exact replica down to the last molecule of pigment. What jsorense discovered with his polarizing magnifying glass is a hidden text written with invisible ink around the the quadrants of the map rose. The text appeared to be in some hellishly complex code. "Damn! " spat jsorense. "What is this, some dopey plot from The Da Vinci Code?"
Fuming with frustration he folds up the map, slips it inside his shirt and exits to the bar room as inconspicuous as possible.
Slipping on a wet mop he slids into the bar with a pronounced thump. The jukebox is playing "Love Is The Drug. "
                      MikeH is ignoring the customers.
Aeson is cleaning his fingernails with a stiletto.
NICE MÖBIUS is on his second pint of absinthe.
Mrs. Civ sits bleary eyed and anxious in a booth waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I found myself overloaded once again with references and my own notes, as I struggled through the door. One bag slipped my grasp and spilled out in front of me. Exasperated and embarrassed, I set about retrieving the journals. One of the customers appeared to offer their assistance.

"It looks like you are not having the greatest of days, now are you?" He smiled empathetically, as he began picking up some journals near his feet.

"It does seem that way I suppose." I acknowledged, reaching for the journals he retrieved but he did not release his grasp upon them immediately

"Are you an archaeologist or historian?" He glanced down at the journals and as if in an after thought released them to me. " I have always been an enthusiast in that sort of thing too!" He beamed a encouraging smile.

'My god, Not another one!' I gathered my bag and straightened. "Thank you for helping me, but I just would like to get myself a drink and relax. I am not interested in having any discussions." I tried to not sound exasperated, after all he did seem genuinely nice.

He just nodded in acknowledgment and returned to his stool at the bar, as I made my way to my corner booth.

A drink arrived just as I settled into the booth. "Tell, MikeH, I appreciate it."
"Mrs. Civ, this was sent over by the gentleman at the bar." She pointed at the man who had assisted me. He noticed me looking and gave a little wave.
Ugh! I really don't need this. I needed to get back to my own research. I began to shuffle through my notes and try to refresh my considerations.

Queen Meritites ("Beloved of her father") lived during the fourth dynasty of Ancient Egypt. She may have been the daughter of Sneferu and the wife of Khufu. She was the mother of Crown Prince Kawab, Prince Djedefhor, Prince Baufra, Princess Meritites II, Queen Hetepheres II and Queen Meresankh II.

She is mentioned in the tomb of Crown Prince Kawab where she is given the titles "Great one of the hetes-scepter of Sneferu, Great one of the hetes-scepter of Khufu, (Beloved) King's Wife, Attendant of Horus, Consort of the one of the Two Ladies".

Nekhbet was the tutelary deity of Upper Egypt. Nekhbet and her Lower Egyptian counterpart Wadjet often appeared together as the "Two Ladies".

In some late texts of the ''Book of the Dead"', Nekhbet is referred to as ''Father of Fathers, Mother of Mothers, who hath existed from the Beginning, and is Creatrix of this World''.
'Hmmm....' I pause in my reading, deep in reflection. 'Didn't Ming mention that in his research that Empress Wu had believed that King Khufu may have come across something that would create God-like powers?'

I sip the remains of my drink, now quite diluted from the melted ice. I stare at the hebrew script in my locket. I was told it means essentially, 'a copy of the document with explanation, measure and inventory of details'. Contemplating how the Westcar Papyrus hieroglyphs which read PA-VA-DO-NIS TA-M , ("the guide to that", or an "unraveling") is identical of the code on the Sherbiny Papyrus' - the "code" of which is missing at the top of the Copper Scroll found at Qumran. Everything seems to point to a double meaning regarding their ancient funerary rituals. ' That is it!' I excitedly, delved back into my notes.

Edna R. Russmann has suggested that the Two Ladies represent Nephthys and Isis, two major funerary goddesses.

In Ancient Egypt, Sirius was regarded as the most important star in the sky. In fact, it was astronomically the foundation of the Egyptians’ entire religious system. It was revered as Sothis and was associated with Isis, the mother goddess of Egyptian mythology. Isis is the female aspect of the trinity formed by herself, Osiris and their son Horus. Ancient Egyptians held Sirius in such a high regard that most of their deities were associated, in some way or another, with the star. Anubis, the dog-headed god of death, had an obvious connection with the dog star and Toth-Hermes, the great teacher of humanity, was also esoterically connected with the star.

Star alignment with the Great Pyramid of Giza. Orion (associated with the god Osiris) is aligned with the King’s Chamber while Sirius (associated with the goddess Isis) is aligned with the Queen’s Chamber.
Elok's conversation came back regarding his interest in the pyramid created by Imhotep for Khufu too. ' Was everyone actually coming to the same conclusions as me?'

I look up to get MikeH's attention for a refill and I catch the man at the bar openly staring at me, but lost in his own thoughts. 'What is his story?'

My brain feeling numb, not sure if it was the lack of sleep, or the number of drinks I have had. 'How many is it, now?' My seeming admirer had left and return, yet kept his vigel on me from the distance. I look at my watch, almost time for Jsorense to make his appearance. I am hoping to have a chance to find out what exactly he knows? My brain says not to trust him, but my gut disagrees.

I look up as I hear the door opening, but it isn't him. Sigh. He definitely knows more than he has let on to. I wonder if he even knows the stranger at the bar?

The jukebox springs to life and a melody fills the air.

I hang my head in sadness and confusion, as the song makes me think of my husband, as well as ironically, Jsorense.

My curiousity for Jsorense is being side-tracked with memories of our Tango. Laughing to myself, I remember how he tried to hide his difficulty in such an exhaustive dance! A smile slowly widens, with the idea of the perfect song and dance for us. I immediately feel flushed and am not sure if it is the drinks or my thoughts.

On my way to the ladies room, I let MikeH know I need another drink.
