If you study us, you may go insane.

I am not quite sure whether I am joking or serious.

Admittedly, I have found the insanity in this forum sometimes infectious and have been known to slide off my 'take the high road' horse rocker a time or two myself!

Admittedly, I have to agree that the insanity may be infectious, since I have noticed there have been times I have even fallen off of 'my take the high road' rocker!

Edit add: Grrr. An example of me going insane with this double posting! Poly poltergeists are playing with my posts!

That's because you've already lost too many sanity points.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

We're like the Great Old Ones, only not so great and not so old.

            Mostly.

              I lost my sanity.

That Aeson took my sanity. He keeps it in a jar.

This thrade needs a poll, to find out who is the nicest of them all.

A poll would be interesting, but with so many poster names to list it would be like a listing of all of presidential candidates. It is probably better to get a feel for the top nice vs naughty and then put out an official poll, right? Who do you recommend?

I nominate MikeH for "Mr. Nice Guy." He hasn't insulted or banned anyone or posted one of his horrible puns in a long time. That's all good.
To The Hijack Police: I don't know what you are talking about. I didn't do it. I wasn't there. I don't even own a computer.

Definitely that last point. Clearly he is a reformed character.

Or maybe it's just that he hasn't posted at all...?

A poll for "nicest poaster" would be a very short list.

Most of us are guilty of flaming or trolling or calling somebody a horrible name.

It could be OneFootin the grave". He never flames or abuses anyone!

Surely extra brownie points should go to reformed characters, like myself?

Actually, I can point to evidence proving that I am a genuinely nice poster: CG - 15,253 quality posts of niceness!

My posts are merely the product of the environment I find myself in.

Counterglow is not part of the Apolyton OT and therefore does not count.

You have indeed done an admirable job of reforming your character. However, as I pointed out in another thread, you are simply not being nice enough. You only used your thanks 11 times since reforming your character. You need to be more generous with showing appreciation.

You must rise above your environment and set the example that inspires us all. Lazy sheepbanger. Or we will drag you down to our level.

The strange thing is that my thanks button seems to have reactivated - just in time to thank you for calling me a lazy sheeepbanger...

I, for one, respect your genuine attempts to keep me on the straight and narrow of niceness by insulting me with tried and trusted racial stereotypes.

I must go and thank paiktis for his depilated/delapidated comment, as that has made my day so far!

Actually Mobius, i am quite impressed by your reformation of your character.

You have been consistently nice despite my deliberate attempts to troll you out and provoke you this past month.

I shall now give up trolling you.

                              Well done, old chap.

                                I already regret saying that.
