Those land grab wars don't get quite the level of appreciation they once did.

Apparently the economy was generally good under him as well. He's basically considered an above-average President by historians nothing much more than that.
I am all for Ohio naming a natural landmark in Ohio after him if they wish.

Yes, 100% agreed. find the highest elevation in Ohio and rename it Mt. McKinley.
Unfortunately it may be the top of a Walmart.

Probably not a conspiracy. Gov't doesn't own any stock anymore.

                  Still...a nice freebie for GM.

Except the people who buy GMC Denalis are the people who are going to be outraged that "Obama is ****ting on our [white male] history"

Didn't enough people in Alaska want the mountain renamed, anyway, and that the Obama administration merely followed through with their request?

Actually higher than I thought. I figured it would be similar to our flat state of Illinois which tops out at 1235 feet.

The people of Alaska wanted the US government to recognize the correct name of the mountain. It was called Denali before some prospector called in Mt McKinley in a newspaper story, and it was called Denali (by people who actually knew what it was, like Alaskans) after that event. That US government publications used the wrong name is just a boo-boo that has now been corrected.
