I've always thought Canada should move its national day to the date a British army full of canucks sacked Washington and burned down the Whitehouse in the war of 1812, the only time this has ever happened.
Canadians are far too nice to be attracted to this idea. It says a lot about them. Australians would go for it in a hearbeat
