In the case of the OP, the killer 1) had been committed by his family, 2) had his own fire arms confiscated because he was dangerously insane, 3) became a drifter, 4) bought a gun legally from a pawn shop, and 5) shot several people before killing himself.

On the other hand this argument is used by the NRA themselves (i.e. that allowing everyone to have weapons prevents deaths), so one can also see it as a pun on the NRA and their crazy justifications for keeping the current gun laws

If Ben Kenobi started a thread saying "I deeply care about the deaths of the people who died in 9/11, but not nearly so much as I care about how much I hate Muslims each and every one of whom is responsible for the tragedy," then he'd be trolling. What Mobius is doing is analogous - he's pretending to care about a tragedy as a means of insulting/denigrating/trolling/whatever an excessively large group of people ("why, America, why," not "why, NRA, why")

When black people shoot a ****load of people, whether at once or over time, their victims are also typically black. Won't even make the news, like as not. Not sure about Latinos. Probably there just aren't enough Asians in this country for many shootings to occur. Seung-Hui Cho is the only one I can think of.
