I'm confused. This ruling violates the rights of evangelicals. Are evangelicals being compelled to marry gay people? I'm totally against that! How cruel for the gay people!

...Even so, said Eugene Volokh, a law professor at the University of California, Los Angeles, religious schools have real reasons for concern.

“If I were a conservative Christian (which I most certainly am not),” he wrote on a law and religion email list, “I would be very reasonably fearful, not just as to tax exemptions but as to a wide range of other programs — fearful that within a generation or so, my religious beliefs would be treated the same way as racist religious beliefs are.”
          Nice...

Seriously? It's been inevitable since at least the United States v. Windsor decision in 2013.

Congrats to all the same-sex marriage advocates! Take the weekend to celebrate and then we can get to work on plural marriage.

I'd have pegged it at Lawrence v Texas.

Now, to keep up the fight for employment protection and housing protection for LGBT people.

For instance, a same sex couple can now marry legally in states like Mississippi, but then when word of the marriage gets out to their bosses, their bosses can still legally fire them.

Religious exemptions should not exist for Christians because Christ says to follow the law. Christianity doesn't permit for a "religious exemption" in law.

I am against tax exemptions for religious institutions in general.

Religious nuts are so afraid of being on an equal footing with the rest of us. That's why equality scares them. No more privilege.

                                No.

The law was that the Emperor must be worshipped however Christ recognised only one god.

Christianity does not allow the worship of an Emperor as a deity. So much for following the law.

Christ did say "render unto Caesar that which is Caesars" in reference to taxation. That is all, so far as I know.
