It's called a 'dead load'... for testing the catapults that launch aircraft. they do this right in port - it is something to see, hear and feel. stand next to a plane ready to launch from a carrier catapult at full power and you can feel every bone in your body shaking. not sure what those are filled with, maybe just water.Comment
