There has certainly been an increase in the far right in Europe since 2008. I suspect the migrant crisis will only make that worse.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.

yes. unfortunately, the migrant crisis has afforded all kinds of racists and xenophobes more chances the spew their bile."The Christian way has not been tried and found wanting, it has been found to be hard and left untried" - GK Chesterton.

It is not just racists. It expires serious problems with the current state of affairs as well as the political establishment's unwillingness to deal with reality.Originally posted by C0ckney View Postyes. unfortunately, the migrant crisis has afforded all kinds of racists and xenophobes more chances the spew their bile.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.

The stream of refugees have reached the proportions of a flood.Originally posted by notyoueither View PostIf a half million people pitched their tents in your garden you might get a tad xenophobic yourself.

I think it is only a matter of time until all refugees are simply turned away.

Yes yes, it is all EU fault. The innocent greek pepole can't be blamed anything. We've heard it all before.

At least now the charade can continue.
The umpteenth "clear signal" for the EU... after which the EU will tell you guys again that they/we don't care about your "signals".

I predict in 6-12 months we will have another Greek referendum/election..."Ceterum censeo Ben esse expellendum."

it is mostly racists, who now thinly cover their racism with hand wringing about a rich continent not having enough to deal with a few hundred thousand people, and of course those who are easily manipulated by the right-wing media and can't even learn some basic facts, such as the fact that out of the 10 countries with the most refugees (in absolute numbers) only one, germany, is in europe, and only two more, britain and france, are in the top twenty; if one looks proportionally, then no european country is anywhere near the top (compare germany's 74 natives per refugee to lebanon's 4 or jordan's 3). the countries with the most refugees are mainly poor and in the middle east, or very near to where the refugees are coming from.Originally posted by Dinner View PostIt is not just racists. europe has the resources to cope. european countries were also involved in creating many of the situations that cause people to flee their countries and should take some responsibility; other western governments ought to do more as well."The Christian way has not been tried and found wanting, it has been found to be hard and left untried" - GK Chesterton.
