              Yeah, while I admit that I laughed and agreed with that statement, it is revolutionary doctrine that if you can prove that the current government can't protect you, it may garner some additional support.
              It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

                  I haven't listened to any Nirvana but I don't like Led Zeppelin. Well, there are a couple Led Zeppelin songs I like but most (Stairway to Heaven in particular) I can't stand.

                    Actually, the main reason we support the second amendment is because it allows gun companies to sell a very large number of guns. The enabling-rebellion thing is just a historical misunderstanding used to scare up some sales every time someone threatens it.

                      Gun companies are not a particularly powerful lobby. Money-wise, the NRA isn't either; the reason people give a **** about the NRA is that it has 4 million members.

                      Look at groups like the AMA. Those are big lobbies.
