It's difficult for me to think of a decent replacement for Jon Stewart. Larry Wilmore is funny. Though, I think the format of his show could use some tweaking.
Any of the existing Daily Show correspondents would do a fine job. I think those shows are all heavily driven by the talent of the writing staff. Colbert is a superb talent. I think Stewart is too, but more so because he is so experienced at the style of delivery.
John Oliver is good, but his bits on the HBO show can drag on. It's like he takes what would have been 15-30 second jokes on the Daily Show and tries to stretch them out. The bits that he does have diminishing returns of funny the longer they go.
