I've got the original Marvel Conan's 1-15 from the 70's that went straight from the stands into quality collector bags.
So I'm figuring that they are definitely MINT condition.
I see #1 routinely on sale for around $900. But it's gone for as high as around 4000 at auction before.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

We're sorry, the voices in my head are not available at this time. Please try back again soon.

My parents tossed out all my comics and baseball cards -- all from the early-to-mid 1960s -- while I was off at college. No heads-up. I just assumed they were still in the the attic where I'd stored them. Didn't find out until years later.

I was a kid, not a "collector" in the sense of preserving things in plastic. But I had tons of old DC titles (Superman, Batman, Flash, etc.), and multiple shoeboxes full of Topps baseball cards. And as a starving college student, I was excited to learn that I had meaningful assets. Or so I thought.

            Yes, I'm bitter.

My mom did the same thing to my baseball cards. Luckily, I've more than made up for the loss with my job earnings......

Yeah, I simply don't understand that concept - unless he bought a second one to read...

Mine are all near mint, but I still read them from time to time.

That's the thing, mine aren't mint. They weren't in protective casing. I'm trying to figure out if the money I'd get for all of these would be worth the time and effort I put in.

Judging by their current appearance, I'd definitely say yes. But I would definitely invest in some backing cards and plastic wallets whether you sell them, or decide to keep them.

I'll head over to that comic book store by me and see what they say

But you want to be selling them without enlisting a middle man - take em in, find out the going rate and at the same time what condition they'd describe them as, buy the backing and bags and leave...

                                Yup. That's the plan.

Though, I am going to consider the convenience factor. Listing, selling, and shipping all of these has a certain time and effort cost. In general, I don't mind paying people or receiving slightly less in compensation if it means I've got to do less. I've got better things to do... well, not really... but still
