Do you guys all have wallets? or do you use a wallet?

to me, they always seemed like tiny man-purses you put in your pocket

    license, credit card

    that's all i need

    ...

and only if i'm going to be buying something... which, i usually don't

also, i would like a contest to see who has the biggest wallet

    anyone have one with velcro?

even though velcro is for children, the disabled, and geriatrics; i would respect a man who rocked a velcro wallet

    good for you

I had a velcro wallet until it literally fell apart.

Now I have a leather wallet. It goes in my back pocket.

It contains: ID, Drivers licence, debit cards (2, one doubles as university RFID card), credit cards (2), public transport card, health insurance ID, and a card stating that, as a french citizen, I am under french consular protection.

And sometimes there's even some cash in there as well.

Mine is 4" by 3.25" and currently about 1" thick. That's about average thickness wise. IT's a single fold leather. (no velcro)

          Building ID
          Train pass
          a few business cards
          a few ids
          a few credit cards
and cash. I probably use more cash then most. It's more secure and harder to trace specific activity.
          a spare car key
          and a few discount cards.

What's the limit these days? I don't use them that often.

I have always used a wallet. My current one is leather, but with embedded metallic webbing that turns it into a de facto Faraday cage to prevent RFID skimming. (You can hack that benefit with aluminum foil.) Single fold. Can't be bothered to measure it -- pretty standard.

A purse is carried, not pocketed.

I have a trifold nautica leather wallet that I've had for around 6 or 7 years.

I like the webbing concept. I wonder if then have to remove my building pass. It's much easier if i just have to wave the wallet.
