In Russia that was an obvious thing to incorporate the ruling elite of the conquered/incorporated state into a Russian elite. For example one of the most noble Russian family - the family of prince Yousupov was an ethnic tartar from Kazan (conquered by Ivan the Terrible), just like the prince Bagration (Bagrat of Gerogia) and the list can go on and go on.
You - the West were always nazis. For you there is always a white man burden - which means a hard burden of being a master for a dumb, conquered slaves. In Russia we live in harmony instead of your western bulsh1t. That's why we have always pwned you and always will. We do not divide people to masters and slaves as you do.

I'll tell you more - the death of Lenin was a huge tragedy for the georgian too. That was a tragedy and a great loos for the all Soviet people.
