My vote will reduce JoJo's 17,000+ majority by 1 compared to what it would have been had I not voted. Unless, that is, the Lib Dems have collapsed so far that UKIP come second in the constituency.

15 years ago the majority for the Tories was only about 300 votes. :/
One day Canada will rule the world, and then we'll all be sorry.

      • Also, I think it's kind of amusing (and maybe a bit sad) that basically no major news network in the US is covering the UK election with any vigor.

It's a bit jarring considering how much attention was paid to the Israeli election.

it's important for the dog the know who will be in charge of the tail. it will have plenty of wagging to do over the next few years i'm sure.

            • Considering the almost complete lack of difference on foreign policy/security matters between Herzog and Netanyahu, versus here where the UK nuclear deterrent and so forth are at stake, I think the UK election has much wider implications for us.

              • i doubt the UK will give up its nuclear deterrent. all the main parties are committed to it, in one form or another, and i think it unlikely that it will be sacrificed in any negotiations with the minor parties.

I think its definitely sad, although probably not in the sense that you mean.
