Calgary Herald
One moose was shot and killed Friday morning and it’s believed a second moose remains on the loose in east Calgary, according to city police.
Det. Jody Cross said police started receiving calls around 5:30 a.m. about a moose in the Forest Lawn area.
It was later seen walking around the Marlborough area, including through the Marlborough Mall parking lot.
After several hours trying to corral it, the animal was killed, Cross said.
He said there are reports a second moose was sighted just off Hubalta Road and 25th Avenue S.E., adding fish and wildlife officers are on their way to the scene.
