Well, that really sucks... I constantly hear on the news about how my being white constitutes a bias... does that mean we can be banned for posting opinion polls showing a color divide on issues of race?

If I was black and said white people have their own biases, would I be banned?

I guess I'd have to read the context, I was under the impression he was suggesting in-artfully perhaps the bias of skin color was blinding someone to the facts about the Michael Brown case...

Generally speaking, there are plenty of ways to insult a poster. Just try to do so in a way that doesn't read as hate speech and you'll be fine. Start flirting with hate speech or pornography, and you're flirting with a ban.
