The butterfly labs place got shuttered by the FTC for defrauding people. I'd stay clear of this whole bitcoin business. The places that aren't run by crooks are run by the criminally incompetent.

I have friend who currently has an apartment full of ASICs maybe a few multy GPU PCs as well. He also runs airconditioners 24/7 because the hardware outputs quite a lot of heat.
A few years ago when he started with the minig he used to heat his apartment with the rigs in the winter.
AMD GPUs are better than nVidia GPUs AFAIK. For bitcoin you should underclock the memory of the videocard and overclock the GPU (not sure how this is for other criptocurrencies.)
ASICs are at least an order of magnitude better than GPUs at mining so it should be almost pointless to run GPUs at this point because you are mostly competing with vastly more efficient hardware.Quendelie axan!Comment
