Of course you change religious beliefs. If we look at Kidicious's sad excuse for an argument it seems to be based on the ludicrous notion that only an atheist could do the terrible things that Hitler did (or thought, or wrote..).

Now leaving aside the rather salient facts that not every single committed Nazi or member of the German armed forces was either an atheist or a thorough-going neo-pagan, Kidicious blanks out the centuries of Christian anti-semitism that lay behind Hitler's early religious experiences and upbringing.

Perhaps he imagines that the followers of gentle Jesus meek and mild couldn't possibly have perpetrated the horrors of WWII, despite having been responsible for the Reconquista, the extermination of the Cathars, the sack of Jerusalem, the sack of Magdeburg, the horrors of the colonial era in Africa and Asia and the New World, the Triangular Atlantic slave trade, and so on and so on.

I've met too many hypocrites who hide behind the label 'Christian' for that sort of nonsense to hold any weight with me.
