Perhaps he imagines that the followers of gentle Jesus meek and mild couldn't possibly have perpetrated the horrors of WWII, despite having been responsible for the Reconquista, the extermination of the Cathars, the sack of Jerusalem, the sack of Magdeburg, the horrors of the colonial era in Africa and Asia and the New World, the Triangular Atlantic slave trade, and so on and so on.
I've met too many hypocrites who hide behind the label 'Christian' for that sort of nonsense to hold any weight with me.
But a Christian is a miracle and the greatest evidence for the existence of God.
