A 10 episode "miniseries" would be stretching the definition . I think it has to be 8 eps or less to be a miniseries. I mean Sherlock totally fits, though. It's 3 episodes (even though each ep is 1.5 hrs). I think AHS does 7 eps (I could be wrong). And, of course, HBO has started to pump more money into its TV movies, esp critically acclaimed movies dealing with the struggles that gay people have had in the recent past (Behind the Candelabra and The Normal Heart).

I think it's a very overrated show. I did enjoy it when I was watching... but I cannot understand the obsession some people have with it.
