We grew up in the northern vanilla villages.
    Do suburbs count?

My mom grew up on the north side and sounds like a brooklyn jew.
    My dad, in Westchester.

I have never heard the term "vanilla villages" before. Google reveals nothing (Chicago related) either.
    Explain plz.

Northern suburbs. Out of around 2000 kids in our high school, (granted it was the late 60's) only one was black, and he was adopted by a white couple.
      Extrapolate from there.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple
