The median of a set of numbers is that number where half the numbers are lower and half the numbers are higher. The average of a set of numbers is the total of those numbers divided by the number of items in that set. The median and the average might be close and they might not. It all depends on the numbers.

Obviously there are a lot of really rich MFs and a lot of poor ones, but the rich MFs are off the scale and are ruining the curve.

The trend is that this will continue....erm my lord.

We need to start giving more of the poor's money to the middle class to rectify this. As long as the 50 percentile is doing ok we'll still look like a healthy economy. So ... everyone under $40k, give all your money to people making $40k to $70k!

Spain has a higher rate of home ownership than the US.

I think the world needs another war - that always seems to help after it's all done... for a while anyway.

I mean a real war too. not some lets pick on a 3rd world pile of dirt with drones.

I'm talking a 5 round main event - USA vs China - a title fight. yeah, that would help with jobs.

                  good to be back

Or fewer mortgages, I suppose. Mortgages count against net worth, right?
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

Spain does have lower mortgage debt. Mortgage debt does count against net worth, but unless you are underwater (still a minority case), owning a home is a net positive.
