IIRC, Herod and John were about 1000 years into the Iron Age, dingus. You could at least be accurate in your chronological snobbery.

Regardless... is there anything else from that period that you make a part of your life or believe to be true?

Cleaning standards of the period?
Educational programs?
Notions of human rights?
Cooking?
Farming methods?
Sanitation?
Medicine?


I'm just trying to understand why one would not be consistent with the period with all those other things, but yet still believe in the religion of the times.
