  • Building a raft to get off Nauru

    Any tips?

Things are going pretty well here all in all. I have a friend named Wilson, doesn't say much but is a good listener.

I need to cross about 500 miles of ocean before hitting land in any direction. I hope I don't drift up to Bikini atoll, still hot but the wrong kind of hot...

I've just dumped a few spent diesel barrels into the ocean in hopes that they will make their way to you and expedite your raft building. Lots of plastic bags as well that you can use to weave together into rope that will float. This way you can avoid chopping down as many bamboos and jungle vines ... evironmental awareness

I heard there's a giant island of trash several meters deep. Land on it, settle it, claim it for you own independent country.
        John Brown did nothing wrong.

You can call it New New Jersey.
There's nothing wrong with the dream, my friend, the problem lies with the dreamer.

Why leave the island? Just embrace your British ancestors and enslave the natives making it your own little slice of AH heaven.

That armor is only good against shark tooth and other slashing weapons. Try using a gun.

Human corpses will last you about a week before they become untenable.

True, the temps above 20oC will significantly reduce their viability. You can compensate a bit by choosing fatter victims.

On the plus side the sharks are likely to eat much of the corpses before they go bad.
