How is it a bunch of unarmed people subdued the gunman without guns?

It takes a good guy with a gun to stop a bad guy with a gun.

      WAIT

It's almost like that slogan is BULL****!

I'm really perplexed by people who don't figure in actual events that happened into their perception of what works and what doesn't

I've been there, oh, and I really don't give a **** what you think is relevant. I feel a similar connection to the victims of this mass shooting as I do about the mass shooting in I.V. as I used to live there. If you don't like it then that is your problem.

This sort of **** happens all the god damned time. Someone knocks on the front door and then the crazy gun nut just starts blasting through the door. They never check who is there and always claim they thought the person they murdered was a robber. This is why I think NO ONE should be allowed to own a gun without passing a written test to at least PROVE they know what the god damned laws are for their area. Miss one question and no guns for you, test must be redone every year, get caught with a gun without the license then felony conviction and permanent lose of any and all gun privileges, period. Felons don't get to have guns.

The guy who went on a shooting spree in Arizona shooting Congresswoman Giffords also got tackled when he stopped to reload but he had large capacity magazines so a lot more people got hit. I agree the NRA's claims that only people with guns stop other people with guns just isn't true. Worse could you imagine what would have happened in that movie theater shooting in Aurora, CO if dozens of people all started shooting in a dark movie theater? Most of them wouldn't even be able to identify the gunman vs the other people shooting much less actually hit that target instead of other people in a crowded theater. It would have been an even worse blood bath.

                    Owning a gun isn't a privilege, it's a right.

A limited right subject to numerous restrictions, so many, it is essentially a privilege. The big problem is we don't subject it to nearly enough regulations most of which would actually pass constitutional muster.
