In rochester there's a station (WFKL, 93.3) which plays top 40 hits anywhere from the 40s or somesuch all the way to now. So it'll play Bad, Bad Leroy Brown and then the very next minute it's playing Little Talks.

        LIES!

There is no such thing as elevator music. Only The Girl From Ipanema on endless repeat.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

I will admit that fewer and fewer elevators are now quiet. It won't be long before people won't understand the phrase.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

Got in the car to leave the hospital today, and Smells Like Teen Spirit was on the Classic Rock station.

Reminds me of that time in 2005 when WCBS started playing Madonna.

I still remember when I first saw that video (and heard the song).

                      My reaction (in order):

                      oooh this beginning is awesome
                      /mimics the opening riff
                      wow this is hardcore
oh the lead singer is lefty
wtf i can't understand what he says
                      ALIDNDIAN A MILEINA A SPEEDO

                      wait what did he say?
                      i think i heard mosquito
la lala here we are now, entertain us!
                      yay i understood that
                      whoa he's screaming
                      this is intense

                      video ends

                      that was awesome!
what was he saying about mosquitos and denial?

Sadly, I know all the words.

I wondered at the time, what a mulatto was.

I remember the bar in Mission Beach exploding in Energy when that song came on. Teen spirit and Evenflow by Pearl Jam were always back to back.

Nostalgia wants me to say that music videos (and music in general) were better when I had no control over what I could watch and had to sit through lots of commercials... just because MTV is garbage now.

Just so we're clear though, I wouldn't trade 2014 for for the early 90's.
