Some of it will be your computer. The less you have running the quicker it should be. (But likely only a few ms unless you're running a lot of crap.)

I was getting 250ish while looking at the center and concentrating on "green", then dropped down to 220ish when looking at the edge of my screen and just generally tensing myself. (No, "tensing" is not a euphemism for something naughty ... )
