I'm a dreadful photographer, but some sights are hard to take bad pictures of. These are from a road trip I went on in 2009.
Meteor Crater in Arizona:

I've heard somewhere that the Grand Canyon is obviously wash out but when you look at the end of the Colorado River you don't find the stuff that was washed out. Don't know how true that is, could be just another story...
Iirc Meteor Crater was from a city killer size object. Wish I could have been there to see it hit...
